A group of ranchers fighting a drought have banded together to raise money to build a reservoir. When they're cheated out of the money in a stock fraud, Roy Rogers rides out to rout the rascals. Along the way, he finds time to sing several songs with the Sons of the Pioneers, including "Love Begins at Sunset on the Trail" and "When Payday Rolls Around."
