This is an extremely interesting (if not very brief) manuscript by L. De Bevere, which covers his routine for a "super-memory" demonstration using an ordinary pack of Alphabet cards.
It was published by Supreme in 1979, and it is 7 pages long.  In those 7 pages, it teaches a 5-phase routine that demos memory feats in the first three phases, and then adds some feats of apparent manual dexterity for the last two phases.
I personally stick to just the memory feats when i perform this, as I prefer to present as if this is all a matter of mental powers, rather than to suggest that dexterity (or magical trickery) may have something to do with the memory feats.   But in the middle of a magic show, all five phases make for a powerful 1-2-3-4-5 punch.
NOTE:  this is not psuedo-memory.  There are some helpful methods here, but you will have to spend time doing some actual memorization.  Some phases can be eliminated and make the memory work easier. But be forewarned if you are looking for an instant miracle -- this one will take some memory practice work on your part.
NOTE #2 -- this routine uses ABC cards, not regular playing cards.  It cannot really be adapted for regular cards.  At least not without some serious re-working of almost everything  :-)   But for an alphabet deck (which by the way, lay people do not consider "just another card trick"), this is strong stuff.
