    BAKER'S BONANZA
    by HUGH MILLER
HARDBOUND.  MINT. 1978  1st Supreme edition.   (Originally published by Harry Stanley, 1968)    127 pages
Many of us use the P-A-T-E-O technique (Pick Two, eliminate One) for having a spectator select an object -- it is an interesting alternative (or adjunct) to Equivoque techniques.    But I wager most magicians who use PATEO do not who invented it, or when.
Well, it was Roy Baker, and he first describes PATEO as part of a card routine on page 40 of this book.   (It was not named as PATEO here, so it is easy to overlook it --like many magic gems, it is hidden in plain sight!)
But in addition to the first description of PATEO, this book of Roy Baker's magic contains many excellent effects and ideas, which you can use as written, or to spur your own imagination and creativity, to adapt to your own style and approach.
The book contains 4 major sections -- general (stand up) magic, cards, close-up, and mentalism.
Check out the photo of the table of contents to get a good idea of how much good stuff you will find in this slim, but important book.   The sample page shot gives you an idea of the format.
New-old dealer inventory, so like new and unused, even though it is 40+ years old.
