Not only a magician but a ventriloquist too, Elgregoe is well known for his human ventriloquism – where his audience volunteers become the puppets. The Variety Artist Club in New Zealand has awarded Elgregoe the Top Children's Entertainer Award as well as the Grand Master of Magic Award. Nickleby grew up helping his dad in as many shows as possible. As soon as Nick left school he joined his dad performing full-time and writing and creating much of the show’s content.
