Presented for your consideration is this interesting antique magic book. The book is titled, The Secrets of Ancient and Modern Magic or the Art of Conjuring Unveiled. It was published by Wehman Bros. in New York. The 94 page book explains how some of magic's most famous tricks were done. The book promises explanations for the best stage tricks from Houdin, Heller, Herr, Alexander, Maskelyne and Cooke. Each trick is explained in detail and, if necessary, an illustration accompanies the explanation. This book was published so that aspiring magicians could perform the same tricks as the most famous magicians in the world. All pages appear to be intact. Finished with a soft, wrap cover. Binding is tight. There is no publication date on the book but looks to date to the late 1800s-early 1900s. This neat book would make a great addition to any magic memorabilia collection or an interesting read for an aspiring magician!
There is a small tear on the right edge of the pages. Light page browning. Some light cover staining is present. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Measures 7 1/8" long, 4 7/8" wide and 1/4" thick.
